Graph, 2011. 12 3/4″x 8 3/4″ Digital.
For an assignment requiring the documentation of a process, I initially tried to record my sleep movements, but ultimately I realized that any conclusions I drew were dictated by my method of synthesizing the data. Consequently, I presented a fictitious graph to my class based on what purported to be mathematical calculations of my movements, which the class accepted as legitimate without any probing. The point of this exercise was to show that the class would associate preconceived notions of legitimacy to my data as long as my presentation was credible.
